Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
On our first day, we started work on a presentation where we designed a platform to streamline IPOs. We worked on this during the first and second day. We then presented this on the third day. It was a great opportunity to work on a collaborative project whilst simultaneously learning more about financial concepts.
On the second day, we heard more from IST and how that area of the division works. We also engaged in a trading coding challenge. The challenge was extremely fun and well polished. However, it would have been better to have more time to build trading algorithms.
After this, we had dinner with other employees and learned more about their paths to Morgan Stanley. It was a great way to informally break the ice and get a deeper look at Morgan Stanley.
On the third day, we learned about ETS and had an interactive session where we broke down assembly code. The interactive session seemed slightly disconnected or out of place.
On the fourth day, we had a charity event where we learned about the firm's commitment to giving back to the community.
