Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As an IT Audit Intern I was responsible for auditing the software that dealt with financial statements for clients across multiple industries.
The day to day involved various responsibilties such as
- Engaging in technical walkthroughs with clients to gather evidence and understand their IT infastructure
- Updating supporting documentation with the latest evidence collected.
- Assessing the effectiveness of ITGC (IT General Controls) and testing them across areas such as user access management, access reviews and change management.
- Using Microsoft Excel functions, including XLOOPUP and VLOOKUP to filter and validate data.
- Documenting audit work and managing supporting evidence using Deloitte’s Omnia audit platform.

I received lots of support and guidance. Whenever I was stuck with a task I could ask my managers and seniors for help and they would always be approachable and happy to answer.
