As an AI and Data Automation Specialist at Endress+Hauser, I work on developing AI solutions and automating business processes to improve efficiency. My day-to-day responsibilities include developing Power Automate workflows, creating Copilot agents, working with Python and data, and supporting machine learning projects. I also deliver presentations and workshops to help colleagues understand and use AI effectively.

I was trusted to work independently on projects, from developing automation solutions and AI agents to contributing to a machine learning project using real business data. I also had opportunities to present AI solutions to colleagues and support the wider adoption of AI across the business.

Yes, I developed both my technical and interpersonal skills. I gained practical experience in Python, machine learning, Power Automate, AI agents and data analysis, while also improving my communication, presentation, problem-solving and teamwork skills. Working with colleagues across different locations also helped me become more confident working independently and professionally.

I received a good balance of support and independence throughout my placement. My managers and colleagues were always available to provide guidance when needed, especially when I was working on new or challenging projects. At the same time, I was encouraged to take ownership of my work, make decisions and learn through experience.
