Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
communicating with ethnic minority students, facilitating events catered around making university a safe space for them and minority groups in general, offering a platform for them to share their concerns and any ideas they have about university life
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
quite a bit, after aiding in one session i was then allowed to facilitate the next session we ran, leading presentations and guiding students

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
plenty, the teachers i worked with were highly involved but not suffocating, they would take a backseat and chip in when needed and were more than happy to interfere when called upon. after sessions were ran we had meetings debriefing what occurred, what we did well and how we could improve

highly supportive and safe, staff treated me as their equal while still remaining respectful of teacher student boundaries
