Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As an audit placement student my role was to complete the work in order for the senior members of the team to review and produce feedback on the work. Following this, I would make amendments to the work and ,if needed, communicate with the client accordingly.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Large amount, treated like a first year analyst but didn't have to complete as many exams.

Multiple - Excel skills have improved massively, Communication skills, Time Management, Teamwork have all seen an improvement.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly, everyone always very open to have a chat and help. Work was expected to be done to a high quality with speed, however I expected this considering Deloitte being within the Big 4.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Having real work experience that was in-line with my degree really helped me develop my understanding. Colleagues were really friendly which made the experience much better.

What advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte
Show initiative and be curious about audit. Really helps in interviews if you talk about the impact on how audit has/is going to be affected by AI.
