Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We spent 2 days going through numerous activities such as an audit case study where we had to audit a company. We also had talks surrounding Deloitte, how they operate and what sectors they operate in.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was incredibly insightful learning about the audit section of accountancy. It was made incredibly clear to us in numerous seminars how the sector works, who Deloitte work with and what we could expect from a job

I developed some existing skills, for example communication and team working skills as we were required to take part in a lot of group tasks, discussions and the like.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture and atmosphere was exemplary, I found the entire event to be incredibly professional but welcoming which is important to me as I’m someone from a background that is very working class.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I greatly enjoyed the insight scheme. It was everything I thought it it would have been like in terms of professionalism and how seamless the event was.
