I used to audit Amazon’s finances.
Every day I would check Teams and Outlook and catch up on anything important.
I would then go through the finances and accounts for whatever project I was on and look for claims until lunch.
At lunch I would organise for us to go out and get food and bring it back to the canteen where we would play cards or party games like mafia or poker.
I would then continue auditing until the shift was over where me and my colleagues would then go out to the nearby sports centres to play different sports like volleyball or basketball.

Yes I was making 6 figure claims against Amazon’s vendors for accounting errors and unpaid dues

I have become an excel whizz and learnt how to use Microsoft access and slightly improved SQL skills. I also gained a lot of interpersonal skills through arranging company events and socials.

Extreme amounts of guidance, my manager would spend hours on call helping me with extremely complex and difficult accounts. My manager would also be the first one to support me even when it came to non-work issues and queries

Company culture was amazing and very upbeat until the previous year placements left. Once they left it was up to us to revive the culture which we did. Once we revived the culture though everyone was extremely sociable with a minimum of one or two events after work every single week

I loved it so much that it’s become a core part of my identity with how much I grew through it and the friends I made who will probably be my friends for the rest of my life
