Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Role entailed responsibility for monthly tasks across EMEA. Day-to-day work depended on relation to month end as work was quite regular.

Received a lot of responsibility for a placement role, regularly responsible for monthly and quarterly tasks.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Learnt lots of new skills in my role. Despite minimal training during onboarding, both industry-specific and soft skills were developed across the entire 12 months. Would highly recommend in terms of development.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Support and guidance grew throughout the role. The first few months were very tough due to team circumstances and a lack of a student coordinator. However, as the role progressed the support also did.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Company culture seemed great, however it seemed apparent that social dynamics within different teams differed a lot. CSR initiatives within the company were a highlight of the inclusiveness of the company.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed the placement a lot. The team aspect and friendliness of the people at the company helped with the work load and made the experience one to remember.

What advice would you give to others applying to Johnson & Johnson

I would recommend J&J on a person level, however, I think the overall enjoyment of the placement is very dependent on the team you are placed in. There is a lot of room for more consistency across placement roles.
