Tax Analyst Review

As a tax analyst, I took part in a wide range of tasks. More specifically, as an analyst you normally would have to take ownership of the admin side of a project to ensure projects go ahead smoothly. I would also have to do fee updates to track and report the costs of a project to the client. On top of this, I would also help out with editing reports, making sure everything looks presentable and creating structure charts.

Yes, I was given responsibility during my placement. In particular, as an analyst I took on the responsibility to sort out the admin side of projects as well as ensuring fee updates were done weekly.

My networking and communication skills have developed over my placement. This is because I often would meet someone new in the office or through working on new projects. I would also say my organisation and time management skills have improved a lot.

I had a very supporting team during my placement and would often have catch ups with the other Industrial Placements students and previous Industrial Placement students. I always felt like I had someone to speak to.

Everyone was very friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. The team had regular socials which was a great opportunity to meet and network with new people.

I really enjoyed my placement year. I met and worked with very talented people from whom I have learnt so much from. I have amplified a lot of my soft skills alongside learning industry specific knowledge.
