Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked as a Summer Analyst in Nomura’s Investment Banking Division, within the Greentech, Industrials & Infrastructure (GII) team. On a day-to-day basis, I supported the team on live transactions and pitches. My tasks included company and market research, financial analysis, valuation work, preparation of client presentations
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I was involved in both live deals and pitches. I worked directly with analysts, associates but also Directors which allowed me to have a lot exposure.

I had a pre internship buddy before starting working, then a buddy and also a mentor who was a bit more senior which allowed me to ask all the questions I have and receive strong guidance.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was collaborative and supportive. The team was approachable and always willing to help, despite the fast-paced environment. There was a strong team spirit and I felt well integrated from the start.
