As a Lancashire Volunteer Partnership Team Leader, I provide day-to-day support to a team of Volunteer Officers, ensuring the effective recruitment, management and deployment of volunteers across Lancashire County Council services. I work collaboratively with internal services and partner organisations to promote and develop volunteer opportunities, enhancing service delivery and creating positive outcomes for local communities.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the programme to a great extent as it supports both my professional and personal development. It has strengthened my project management skills, enabling me to plan and deliver improvements more effectively. The learning is directly applicable to my role and has increased my confidence in managing and driving service improvements.

I have developed project management skills including, coordinating, managing resources and monitoring progress against objectives. The programme has also strengthened my ability to analyse data and identify service opportunities

The programme is well organised and provides a clear structure for learning development. The structured approach has enabled me to develop my project management skills in practice. Regular reviews from my tutor and the opportunity to reflect on my learning has helped me stay on track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive excellent support from my employer and my manager is fully supportive of my development and provides regular opportunities to discuss my progress. I am given the time and resources along with encouragement to successfully complete my apprenticeship.

I have received excellent support from my training provider throughout my apprenticeship. I have received regular progress reviews, clear guidance and constructive feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The programme has significantly enhanced my effectiveness in my role regarding practical knowledge, tools and techniques that I can directly apply in the workplace.
