Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Supporting the deal team through the production of pitch decks and excel spreadsheets. Performing valuation analysis(rare). General admin related to the deal as well. Note taking for meetings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Responsibility grew over the internship. At the end I was trusted to send notes without review as well as source info. I was also trusted to handle comments on a pitch book / do myslef.

Team was very supportive throughout the internship - organised specific session almost each week to teach us new technical skills. Business wide they organised a lot of sessions as well to encourage us to explore other teams and divisions

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

UBS has a very good team culture represented with people from all over the world. Very diverse team and supportive. People speak their mother tongues in the office all the time - truly a global firm.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Placement was very enjoyable and I learnt many new skills and met interesting people. HR and team was very intentional to make this an informative and pleasant experience.
