SVS Intern Review

During my internship at Deloitte as an Audit Intern, I supported the audit team with a range of key audit tasks and gained practical experience working on client engagements. My responsibilities included preparing engagement letters, drafting representation letters and completing tie-through procedures.

On a day-to-day basis, I worked in the office alongside the audit team, managing my own workload and completing assigned tasks independently while meeting deadlines. I was trusted with a good level of responsibility throughout the internship and was expected to produce accurate, high-quality work with minimal supervision.

During my internship, I developed both my technical and professional skills. I improved my understanding of the audit process by working on tasks such as engagement letters, representation letters and tie-through procedures while also developing more professional skills such as time management since there was minimal supervision and I was given alot of independency. I also became more confident with tasks done with an audit role and what it means to be an auditor.

I received good support and guidance from my team throughout the internship such as when I had questions or was learning new tasks. At the same time, I was trusted to work independently, manage my own workload and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

The company culture was professional and supportive. Everyone was approachable and willing to help. The atmosphere was friendly and collaborative, with a strong focus on producing high-quality work.

I really enjoyed my internship. It gave me valuable experience in a professional environment and helped me develop my technical and professional skills. It also confirmed my interest in pursuing a career in audit.
