Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

It was a really good insight programme giving us an exposure to how audit work. Day to day included checking emails then attending catchup calls every morning at 9:30 am where the team discusses the progress and the work for the following day. I was set basic tasks like updating a template for a memo or updating figures using financial statements, emailing clients, double checking work for errors etc.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Really good again spoke to loads of people to understand work load and how they manage it had meetings with people leader to keep on track and know future roles

Yes I’ve learnt financial modelling skills I learnt about the 3 financial statements learned excel skills how an audit works and also learnt a lot about prompt engineering.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Really inclusive people were really nice and relaxed it was a very chill culture everyone was really supportive and overall you just had this vibe on continuous learning.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte

Research the company and the business line a lot, research the values of Deloitte and when it comes to specific job role, know a lot about it for example within audit Deloitte has L&C and Portfolio audit so knowing what they are and which one aligns with you goes a long way!
