Advisory Review

As an Advisory Spring Intern, I gained insight into how consultants help organisations solve business and technology challenges. Throughout the programme, I took part in interactive workshops, worked on team-based case studies, and learned about understanding a client’s needs and presenting solutions.
A typical day involved attending sessions delivered by Deloitte professionals, collaborating with other interns on group tasks, analysing business scenarios, and presenting recommendations. I also had opportunities to network with colleagues from different areas of the business and learn about the wide range of projects undertaken within Deloitte.

Although it was a short insight programme rather than a traditional internship, I was given meaningful responsibility during group activities and case studies. I contributed ideas, analysed information, and worked closely with my team to develop solutions before presenting our recommendations. I was trusted to take ownership of parts of the group’s work, which helped me develop my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Yes. The placement helped me strengthen both my technical understanding and my professional skills. I developed my problem-solving and analytical thinking by working through business case studies and considering how technology can be used to address real client challenges. I also improved my communication and presentation skills by collaborating with my team and presenting our recommendations to Deloitte professionals.

I also appreciated the opportunity to network with employees from different teams, who were open about sharing their experiences and career advice.
