Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was assigned to the CASS EA team. Essentially the days consisted of completing mkandatory training, networking with your assigned team, and supporting with admin tasks.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
The structure was quite ad hoc, so the team dictates the level of work assigned to you. However, you can easily observe the impact of the work you're doing, which i appreciate.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes. I've gained insight into what Extended Assurance actually does and achieves; I've refined my proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Canvas. I better understand corporate tools as well as the procedures and frameworks utilised in CASS.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
There is a well established hierarchy of support with the buddy-->counsellor-->team delegation. While this ensures you integrate quite quickly and have several touchpoints, it can initially feel like youve been thrown into the deep end immediately after induction as there isn't much signposting/ formal introduction to your team.

the company culture was quite welcoming, it was very easy to assimilate and integrate.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
A combination of the independence, community, and learning led me to enjoy this internship to a great extent. I believe it has helped my understand the opportunities within EY and enriched how i can positivelt contribute within a team.
