Immersive Learner Practitioner Review

I worked independently and as part of a small team, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to the planning of exciting and engaging physical environments for primary-aged children. I participated in the delivery of the immersive learning experience at Passion for Learning's Careers Carnival.

Yes! I was in charge of creating a brochure for Passion for Learning's annual Careers Carnival. On top of that, I took chosen texts and used them as the creative basis for the immersive learning experience.

I've learnt how to harness my creative skills in an entirely new context by developing activities for children to complete at Passion for Learning's Career Carnival and crafting unique, repurposed sea-themed decorations. During the run-up to the Careers Carnival, I also created a brochure for the event, which was a completely new experience for me! This was an exciting chance for me to showcase my creativity. I was also tasked with overseeing the immersive learning experience at this event, which undoubtedly bolstered my leadership and problem-solving skills. Moreover, I've further enriched my communication skills by adapting my communication style to varying audiences. I was very lucky to be surrounded by such a dedicated and enthusiastic team, all of whom shaped my understanding of the charity sector and the invaluable work carried out by children's charities. I've learnt the importance of adaptability and flexibility, and the need to be conscious of the continuously changing factors impacting the charity sector. Being able to engage with other volunteers was an eye-opening and extremely endearing experience, both in terms of understanding their desire to create positive change and their commitment to instilling a love of creativity and imagination in the next generation. This internship experience has been immeasurable for both my personal development and desire to pursue a career in educational psychology.

I received a great amount of support from both the staff at Passion for Learning and the University of Chester.

It was a very welcoming company and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel like a valued member of the team. The general atmosphere was filled with purpose and dedication!
