Business Tax analyst Review

As a Business Tax Analyst, I supported a range of tax advisory and compliance projects, conducting research, analysing client information, and preparing technical summaries on UK and international tax matters. My work included reviewing Permanent Establishment risks, Double Tax Treaties, group relief and loss utilisation rules, and Private Client Services matters.

I assisted with gathering and interpreting tax data, researching legislation, and presenting findings in a clear and practical way for colleagues and clients. Through this role, I developed strong analytical, research, and communication skills while working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.

Throughout my internship, I developed strong organisational, research, and problem-solving skills, helping me manage a variety of projects effectively. I became more confident in taking initiative, asking questions when needed, and adapting to unfamiliar tasks.

I was assigned a mentor who I could ask any questions to and was extremely helpful in navigating the initial stages of the internship. The work I was allocated was always explained before hand and if I had questions, my colleagues were always receptive to helping out.

The team is friendly and want to get to know you, with the overall sense of homogeneity amongst the team.

I wholly enjoyed my time at Deloitte due to the variety of work that I got the opportunity to work on and the inclusiveness of the office that I worked in.
