Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a tax consultant intern my day to day consists of building and checking tax returns, doing tax research in preparation of meetings and for advice, completing billing documents, constructing email drafts and doing information searches for clients.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, Deloitte give you the chance to get on with tangible work immediately, guiding you through the process, all work is checked before it goes out so they are happy for you to work on client deliverables.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
My excel skills were always quite poor, through my work here i've really developed on these skills and feel far more competent surrounding using it in my everyday work than I did when I first started. Additionally, i've really built on my networking skills creating important relationships with colleagues across the business.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly, got involved with out of work extracurriculars straight away; bowling, netball, etc. Everyone is very helpful and supportive.
