Tax Intern Review

During my internship, I supported a range of administrative tasks, including filing, PowerPoint development, email drafting, and completion of required e-learning. I also had the opportunity to attend and contribute to client, on-site, and internal meetings with Directors and Partners. Additionally, I built strong professional relationships through networking and coffee catch-ups with Partners and colleagues across the team, helping me develop my understanding of the business and expand my professional network.

Yes, I was given a good level of responsibility throughout my internship. Alongside administrative and project support tasks, I had the opportunity to contribute to client and internal meetings with senior stakeholders, take ownership of assigned work, and build relationships across the firm through networking and collaboration. Throughout my placement, I received excellent support and guidance from both my counsellor and buddy. Their advice and encouragement helped me develop my understanding of the technologies used within the firm, become involved in client-focused projects, and strengthen my technical, professional, and communication skills.

The company culture was welcoming, supportive, and inclusive. Everyone was approachable and willing to help, which made it easy to ask questions and learn from others. I felt valued as part of the team and was encouraged to get involved in a range of activities, from client work to networking opportunities. Overall, the atmosphere was professional, collaborative, and conducive to learning and development.

I greatly enjoyed my placement and found it both rewarding and insightful. The variety of work, opportunities to contribute to client and internal projects, and exposure to senior colleagues allowed me to develop valuable skills and gain confidence in a professional environment.
