Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I worked on engagements where I assisted in different parts of the process. I coded, helped with documentation, and attended calls with the audit team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Due to my engagement lacking data, I was doing work for different types of engagements, but I think from what I saw from the other interns on my team, typically you'd be able to do work for the same engagement almost everyday for the whole process. I enjoyed that when I was given tasks, they gave me tasks that made an impact.

I've developed my coding skills from learning how to code in SQL. I also worked on Udemy to learn about PowerBI and Tableau.

I received a lot of support from my buddy, people leader, and other people in my team. They were always happy to help and I wasn't afraid to ask questions because of the lovely environment and culture.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

You can see their values are not just for show, and that they are clear in the workplace. It was so friendly, despite being such a reputable firm, and everyone made me feel very welcome.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed it. The social side was amazing, everyone was friendly, supportive and helpful. The work was meaningful and I enjoyed the responsibility I was given.
