Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Each week of the internship programme, I was on a different engagement. On a day to day basis, I was working as part of the engagement team to conduct testing and speaking in client meetings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of responsibility for my own work during the internship, however this did not feel overwhelming and there was always someone to ask for help. It really gave me a feel of what the job would be like coming back as a graduate.

I was given a lot of guidance during the placement. I had multiple people I could turn to for help, a deloitte buddy for advice, people leader for support and development and the colleagues on the engagement teams to ask for help regarding the work.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was a very welcoming atmosphere! Everyone in the office was so friendly and I was able to network and get to know people in other departments.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed the internship, especially getting to know the people and the working culture at Deloitte. The opportunity to go to London and meet all the other interns from across the country, it was a unique experience that exceeded my expectations!
