The experience also strengthened my ambition and gave me an even greater appreciation of Deloitte’s culture and the opportunities it provides.

The programme helped me become more confident when speaking in professional settings. In particular, I spoke on a Microsoft Teams call with more than 100 participants, which pushed me outside my comfort zone and made me feel more comfortable expressing my ideas in front of a large audience.

The company culture felt relaxed yet professional. It was clear that people work hard, but also enjoy what they do and are supported in developing their careers. Everyone seemed welcoming and approachable, which created a strong sense of community and made it feel as though employees build their own close-knit “Deloitte family.” I was also impressed by the range of employee networks available to support people from different backgrounds and communities. Overall, the atmosphere seemed inclusive, supportive and full of opportunities for growth.

In summary, I thoroughly enjoyed the insight programme. It was engaging, informative and gave me a much clearer understanding of Deloitte, its culture and the opportunities available within Audit and Assurance. The experience also increased my confidence and made me feel even more motivated about my future career.

Preparing in advance is also important, as it allows you to become familiar with the process and understand what to expect.
