Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I attended the office every day and went out to client site 1-2 times a week. Over the 3 weeks on an engagement i did tasks ranging from payroll, testing steps and simple tasks like finishing information cards and procedure cards.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given the responsibility of my work and i also took ownership of every task no matter how small. i was ;eft to do my work independently once i was sure i fully understood the task. I believe i built good trust within my team.

I received an immense amount of support in the first in office week, I had a lovely girl coach me she was amazing and throughout everyone was so open and willing to support me.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was amazing, I have felt so welcomed and included in the office. i have not once experience imposter syndrome or like I was the odd one out. it massively helped my anxiety with how positive the office environment was.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed this experience massively. i was everything and more than i could have imagined. what surprised me was the culture being so calm and comfortable as opposed to the tense 'big 4' culture I was assuming.

What advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte

I could not recommend it enough, it has been such a life changing experience and has given me skills and developed my skills in a way i don't think anything else could. this internship has been a once in a life time experience.
