IT Audit SVS Student Review

Every week I'd be assigned to work with different clients and test controls, perform general entry-level IT Audit duties. Besides that we also had to prepare an end-of-placement presentation on a topic of our choosing. It was not a deal breaker for a return offer, but it would keep students occupied during quieter days, as well as test our ability to present in professional environment.

Medium level, I knew my work had impact on the project and I was testing real controls, but if something went wrong it could always be easily resolved.

I have improved my excel knowledge greatly, as well as my written and spoken communication. I've learned more about navigating AI in the workplace and developed general IT Audit skills, which were taught to us on weekly Lunch and Learns.

We had separate job specific training, as well as weekly workshops. As well as that, students got help and guidance from people they worked with. There are also company specific platforms that allow you to pick courses to improve your skills

Everyone is really approachable and the work schedule is fairly flexible since you can work from home twice a week even as an intern. There are lots of diversity networks that you can join, as well as volunteering initiatives. Depending on your team, you will have several social events a months as well.

Everything was really great, it's only a pity that it's on a shorter side duration-wise (only 4 weeks)
