Spring Into Deloitte Review

My role involved working in a small group of other interns within Deloitte's Advisory practice on a mock consulting project, working on tasks that involved S&T and T&T service lines. This involved researching, analysing, and structuring our approach before presenting our findings to senior Deloitte employees.

Although the project was simulated, our group had genuine ownership over how we approached the problem and shaped our recommendations, rather than following a fixed script. Presenting directly to senior employees at the end gave the work real weight and accountability.

I developed my public speaking skills and my ability to analyse a companies problem and weigh up potential solutions.

We had a mentor guiding us through the tasks and skills sessions to inform us on how to approach the project on the whole.

The atmosphere was quite relaxed and welcoming, everyone was happy to chat and answer questions even though they were senior. It didn't feel overly corporate or stiff, more like people actually enjoyed working there.

I really enjoyed it - it allowed me to meet more similar people with similar goals, and gave me the chance to talk to senior members who had been in the industry a long time.
