Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
1:1 check ins with focus list students that sometimes has maths or english ixl, fun activities like colouring and playing games like card games and also personalised worksheets to work on their DESSA skills and also in class support and lunch duty
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes I felt like I held a lot of responsibility over my students and even when in class I helped around the room. The kids relied on me for motivation and i had to adapt to each kid's needs

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes I have developed my empathy and listening skills and my confidence, public speaking, problem solving and creativity has also been greatly improved. I also learned how to handle teens better and how to exercise authority that isnt too harsh or soft

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A lot ... at least 3 times a week because of impact officers and LDD. Also my team and other people in cohort are really reliable so I could always reach out to them for help

It was really inclusive and friendly. I felt very comfortable here and became friends with everyone
