Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Worked across Year 9. Closely with 10 students, all with quite high tier social and emotional development needs. Carried out weekly 1-1 sessions with my focus list students (students allocated to me to be mentored) Also supported with in-class support, truancy support, maths support. Did breakfast club, lunch and break duties.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

The work was rewarding but definitely exhausting. A lot of responsibility. Having a work life balance is hard if you need another job on the side due to the low pay.
