Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Behaviour, academic, attendance, emotional and social support for high schoolers and mentoring them based on their needs. 1:1 support and in classroom support.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes we were responsible for students and mentoring sessions as well as duties carried out in school. If we went on a trip we would get a number of students we were responsible for.

I received great support from my impact officer who pet me do my own thing independently but also supported me when I needed it.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It's different compared to other companies as they embrace their differences and do things you wouldn't see. They can be cheesy but still welcome awkward silences that force you to want to speak.
