Spring week intern Review

Spring into Deloitte programme was an amazing opportunity for me to learn about tax and audit. It was a two day programme based in Manchester where the accommodation and food was provided for both days since I had to commute from London. The first day was an introduction and overview day telling us about the ins and outs of the business as well as hearing from current employees about their work. There was also a group activity involved and we had already been put into groups at the start of the day. During the group activity we worked as a team to perform an audit on a business and present the findings to a panel of judges. There was also a Q&A session with current placement and graduate students and they told us about the application and the recruitment process. Overall, it was a very insightful experience and would highly recommend.

Again, very informative. I did not know that many roles existed within the tax and audit sector. Hearing from employees who are currently working at Deloitte and have been there for years was amazing. Deloitte is all about the people and customer satisfaction and it was evident in the suggestions we got while working on the case study.

The main skill I developed was my communication. We had to talk to our group and collaborate to come up with the perfect pitch for why Deloitte should be working with our client. Other skills were teamwork and problem solving, those were quite crucial.

Everyone was very accommodating. They were all so helpful when it came to any queries I had. The general atmosphere was very welcoming and encouraging.

I absolutely loved it. I think it was one of the best insight weeks I have been to. I learnt a lot and I met many like minded people. I was able to network and socialise with current employees. I wouldn’t change a thing.

I would tell them to not think twice because they will be in safe hands. Deloitte is an amazing company to work for and the insight programme just reflects it.
