Logistics & Supply chain operation steerer Review

Day-to-day consisted of reviewing current stocks of packaging, steering this packaging inbound / outbound accordingly & ensuring that the plants production requirements for this packaging were met. Talking with transport service providers and ensuring they are collecting deliveries on time & forecasting future packaging requirements.

I would say a good amount of responsibility was given to me during my placement as if i did my job incorrectly, it could cause large losses in production & also disrupting the supplier network to the plant.

I have developed my communication skills & also microsoft office skills. i have also learnt new systems such as SAP, a deck management system and a container management system. Also learning about how the supply chain for a complany like BMW works in terms of meeting internal & external customer demand.

I received as much support and guidance i asked for during my placement, upon asking a question i would always get the answer i was searching for. I was always supported in my role by more experienced colleagues and could depend on them if need be.

Company culture was great, everybody within the plant was very accommodating and supportive of any questions I had, good work environment.

I enjoyed the people i have communicated with during my placement as it gave me the opportunity to speak to people in different plants and also the fellow interns who i have got along with well. The day-to-day job role was mundane at times with little project work available but that was just due to the job role and not my position as a placement student

Yes
