Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
A typical day involved mentoring our focus list students, in-class support, break and lunch duties and English & Maths intervention. Our sessions would focus on social-emotional learning, behaviour, attendance or curriculum.

We were given a lot of responsibility in the school.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, working in the stressful environment we did, I learnt how to be more resilient and have the confidence to advocate for myself. We had half-termly skills builders also where we focused on skills we had exhibited over that period of time.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
This was mixed. At times, the support was great in terms of mental health with personal outside events. However, when the work environment was affecting us we were dismissed at times.
