Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As a maintenance planner, my team is responsible for maintaining all manufacturing production equipment, ensuring performance and reliability across the Assembly line, Interior Surface Centre and Interior Trim Centre machinery. Day to day involves answering requests from maintenance technicians, sourcing parts, organising contractors as well as a wide range of project work which can include from digitalisation to new equipment introduction.

The whole internship I was given lots of responsibility and treated as trusted and valued member of the team.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

From my team, I received lots of guidance and support throughout the year. This included a friendly atmosphere where I could ask any questions, meetings whenever more support was needed as well as 1:1 reviews and check ups from managers.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very friendly atmosphere, everyone is willing to support and help interns as much as they can. I was also involved in the charity committee which was great to be able to see a different initiative and culture.
