Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I am a learning mentor in a secondary school who supports students from year 7-11 in class with their learning and behaviour. I also took students out for 1:1 interventions working on improving their social emotional learning and setting goals and making small improvements in school
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I would go on school trips with only 1 other staff member, be alone with small groups to host interventions, make reports of some students
