Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Volunteer Mentor- Volunteered at a school and had to mentor 10 students on a one-to-one basis. We created tailored session plans, did in class support and did break and lunch duties. We supported students we social emotional learning and 2 other areas of focus e.g., behaviour, punctuality, attendance, maths or english.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. We were responsible for creating session plans weekly, completing admin tasks such as focus list reviews etc. We had to keep track of our students progress as well.
