Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Worked as part of a team to design a hedging strategy to lock in the price of a commodity. Interacted with other spring interns and company's employees on a day to day basis. Had the opportunity to attend multiple talks and presentations from teams working on the engineering/technical side of the organisation's activities. Also, had several Hackerrank sessions were I got to improve my programming skills.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The multiple talks and presentations we had from various teams from the company significantly helped me to understand the business and the potential roles available. The project that we worked on also helped to improve my knowledge of the financial industry. And finally, the one-to-one talks with different employees helped massively to understand what role would I like and would also suit me.
