Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Collecting and preparing samples. Carrying out routine testing on the fluids used throughout the plant. Assisting with requests when necessary.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
In the later months of the placement I was permitted to conduct ad hoc requests and release lab reports. I was also allowed to conduct the routine testing independently.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I developed a wide variety of lab skills and learnt about sampling technique and cleanliness. I was able to develop my ability to write lab reports and learn about how to develop a testing plan for ad hoc requests.
