Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The taster programme consisted of me attending a virtual 2 day zoom call where I engaged with presentations and practical workshops delivered by the Teach First team, partaking in group discussions and activities, a debate and the experience of teaching a short lesson.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The vision and mission of Teach First as a social enterprise was made very clear and was very motivating to learn of.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have greatly developed my self reflective and evaluation skills as the taster prompted me to look back introspectively in a very effective way at my own personality and potential teaching style. I also developed my communication skills and debating skill. Also planning and time management.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I greatly enjoyed my placement, it was really dynamic and even though it was virtual, I do not feel that this took away at all from my experience, I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in teaching.
