Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Assisting candidates through the compliance process, gathering eligibility to work documents and running relevant checks to ensure documents are valid. Acquiring references via email and telephone communications and maintaining regular communication with candidates to ensure they complete the compliance process within time as they cannot begin the role before.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was solely responsible for my division when my senior was off which was a huge responsibility but definitely built my confidence within my own ability to carry out the necessary tasks and was a test of my knowledge on the role

I was part of a small but incredibly supportive team. We were part of a new team created within the last few years at Randstad so the structuring had changed a few times but we adapted to challenges and embraced the change

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was a lot different to what I had expected, it is very transparent with company goals and values, and communicating important updates to the business which I liked. It is a tough environment and you have to be quick and fast paced to keep up.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I definitely enjoyed my placement once I had gotten a hang of my role and we returned into office. Hybrid working was great but I definitely needed those days in office as I really enjoyed the social aspect and impact being in the office had on my routine to prepare me for work
