I have been working as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the last three years and am enjoying my job. Since I started, the role has evolved significantly, and I am confident I am contributing more to it than I used to.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It is quite stressful, to be honest. I didn't realise the study pressure would be so much; I wouldn't have enrolled in the course.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The tutors deliver effective presentations during seminars; however, I believe the support provided is inadequate, particularly because one-on-one assistance is unavailable. Additionally, the study materials are limited to online journals and books, but failed to secure subscriptions to databases such as ScienceDirect or Elsevier.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

average support. They are more concerned about whether I am using more than 6 hours of my work hours. They expect you to do more on the weekends, which will negatively impact my family life.

Yes, in some extent. However, unless I gain practical experience in HR jobs, I am uncertain that this will benefit me beyond a few theoretical applications.

Would you recommend MID AND SOUTH ESSEX NHS TRUST to a friend?
No
Why?
The salary is poor. Apart from Basildon Hospital, they don't pay Fringe to other hospitals such as Southend or Broomfield, which is such a shame, as the travel expenses are pretty much the same in the three hospital sites. On top of that, it's difficult to progress within the organisation because the admin roles are frozen in the organisation.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MID AND SOUTH ESSEX NHS TRUST?
Be supportive of Black and Ethnic Minority group progression into senior roles, and fringe benefits should be given regardless of which hospital sites employees work for.
