Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was often given to responsibility to train new starters that came into the team.
Randstad also treats placement students like any other employee which I really liked.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have improved my people skills massively as I’m constantly talking to candidates all day every day. I have a better understanding of how a huge organisation like Randstad works and all the different departments that contribute. There were many times were I had to problem solve or try and work around complicated or tricky situations, this was great practise.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was given lots of training at the beginning but also throughout. I also had weekly reviews with my manager which were really helpful as it helped set me up for the week ahead.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very friendly and nice to be around. I always enjoyed coming into the office. I also liked how people from different teams were so friendly and wanted to get to know you.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I loved my placement. So much so that I have continued to work part time at Randstad whilst I’m in my final year at university. I hope to continue my career in Randstad after I’ve graduated.
