Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

What i usually do is come in for my shift and have a quite early start of 5:50-6 i then clock in and go to my work plac in the hangar and log into my computer and our online systems we then have deliveries come in from our main distribution center and we bring those in on our system and confirm its all here , we then usually get quite a few orders come in from engineers so as they come through we do all the picking and online logistics work and have them come to collect it . these orders continue throught the day and we get deliveries every 4 or so hours . this is what i do through the day i then clock out at around 18:00 and make my way home :)

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme its alot of learning every day and responsibility we get given real work and fully feel apart of the operations its also a great community and a place where you bu8ild great friendships with everyone you meet in your placements

Ive developed on alot of my skills which include communication , attention to detail , teamwork and so many more. On this course you develop so many new skills every day which is what really makes this apprenticeship for me

I would say its quite organised and alot of thought goes behind everything however theres always other options that can be made and done which we carry on to other cohorts

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Being in such an important role with rel life responsibility's you definitely get alot of support especially if you feel any pressure managers are really easy to approach

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

we receive the upmost support from our training provider and build good relationships with them and can again go to them with any questions we have about our work

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it helps and gives us knowledge which helps alot with our in job role which we didnt realise would be such help to us

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Im really involved in networking events and volunteering with my work whether thats advocating for females in engineering , going out and giving talks to students or even something as simple as helping internal company events
