Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
I worked in client administration for a year. Then I did a rotation as a PE analyst.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
It's a well structured programme. I have a good management team behind me and the company culture is really supportive. Enjoy that I have some level of freedom over my career as well. I think it's really useful to rotate and explore different areas.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
Yes, my technical knowledge of finance has improved exponentially. My networking skills have also improved and I've learnt how to be more strategic with my career planning

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
Very well organised. There's a clear route which still allows for some wiggle room to explore other areas of the bank. The programme is well paced as well and I have managed to keep up with both uni, portfolio work and my day job.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I'm lucky I have a really supportive manager and that my business area has a legacy of apprentices so everyone understands my workload and is super supportive. I especially like that management offers me a day off before key exams to revise.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

3/5
The university team is friendly and does their job. Most of my support comes from my colleagues though.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

3/5
It definitely helps towards my future career goals. However I do find that depending on the role, the academic learning does not completely align with the day job. Overall I think the qualifications covered help my technical knowledge.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

4/5
Yes tonnes. My favourite is the volunteering initiatives.
