I work within a digital team where my main responsibility is identifying and defining user needs for internal systems. This includes working closely with stakeholders, policy colleagues, developers and delivery teams to ensure services meet user needs and business goals.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed it a lot. It aligns well with my role as a Business Analyst and allows me to apply what I learn directly to my day‑to‑day work. The balance between theory and practical application works well, especially given my prior experience in digital and operational roles.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have gained a stronger understanding of project management, negotiation techniques and strategic thinking. I have also learned more about the full digital lifecycle, which has helped me see how Business Analysis fits across discovery, delivery and live service.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I loved the way the programme was organised and structured. It includes regular seminars alongside weekly modules that I complete through self‑directed learning. There is a clear balance between formative tasks and formal assignments, which helps reinforce learning over time. I have access to online systems, learning materials and professors for support.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has also given me the time and flexibility to engage in projects, which makes it easier to apply what I am learning in practice as well as giving me the 20% of my time to dedicate to my learning.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Northeastern University London (NU London) offers loads of support, via tri-partite reviews, inductions week, success managers, as well as Academic writing sessions. I have access to professors for academic guidance, feedback on assignments, and support through the learning platforms. The systems in place make it easy to keep track of learning, deadlines and progress. This support has helped me stay engaged and on track while working towards my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The learning directly supports my work as a Business Analyst, particularly around understanding the digital lifecycle, stakeholder engagement, strategy and structured delivery. It provides practical frameworks and language that I use daily when identifying user needs and working with delivery teams. Applying the learning to real projects has increased my confidence and effectiveness in my role.

There are: apprentice forums and Teams channels. The organisation also offers for everyone: Sports days, wellbeing support, mentoring, Communities of Practice.
