Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
I work in a logistical function that covers production control and distribution. My work ranges from analytics and reporting to project management and presenting. I am involved in many daily meetings, some of which I run, to discuss daily operations and project work.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
At times, the balance between a degree and day-to-day work can be difficult, but it's something I have learnt to manage. However, I am finding this particularly difficult coming towards the end of my apprenticeship, and both the workplace and university are expecting higher standards. Other than that, I enjoy my course and think it is a great path to go down.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Whilst with RRMC, I have gained my Level 2 and Level 3 in Data Analytics. Using this, I have managed to become one of the most experienced in my department.
I have also completed presentation training.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

3/5
I think some parts could definitely be improved, including the communication between the apprentice team and the apprentices. The end of the apprenticeship process could also be improved.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

4/5
I would say the majority of the support I receive is from my home department instead of the apprentice team, but I am satisfied with that. I can imagine apprentices with less supportive teams may struggle.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I have received study leave when required, and they have been able to provide resources that the university could not.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

4/5
My degree is in project management. My role isn't necessarily project management-based, however, a lot of PM skills are transferable to everyday life, and I think it has helped in terms of managing some of my job aspects.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
There are a lot of network groups and social events, but I do not take part.
