4.5/5 - Overview of Role
5/5 - Skills Development
4/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
Planning and allocation of space and storage and delivery solutions for a production facility:
- daily production meetings with core team members to receive first hand feedback
- various proactive project work scheduled in daily
- reactive on standby support for logistics issues

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
I reasonably enjoy the programme. University is relatively well structured, despite taking a year to get to that point and the role which I find myself in is challenging and engaging.
Securing a final role approaching the end of my apprenticeship has been more difficult than was initially promised.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Completely developed as a human being.
- Presentation skills
- Data analytics
- Workplace etiquette
- Being a team player
- specialist knowledge in various faculties.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
good structure now compared to when I started.
Clear expectations for university performance and structure as to when I attend. Wednesday every week dedicated to study.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
Good support in finding follow-on job role from apprenticeship, however as job roles are currently limited, this has been a great challenge.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

4/5
University of Portsmouth provide good access to services to support with assignments. Provide 1:1 support with tutors to achieve learning outcomes and hit apprenticeship requirements.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

4/5
It is mostly relevant. I feel that a degree generally helps with my perception at work, but mostly learning about timekeeping and effective project management techniques have required some adaptation to be totally relevant. (skills are not directly transferrable, but applicable)

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

2/5
social activities sometimes planned. Good apprentice network but really down to the individual to create social opportunities.
