Fully involved within an audit
Such as substantive testing, client interaction and other admin type roles

4/5
I feel valued by the feedback received and general team morale and verbal feedback
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
3/5
Fair, about industry standard however i am aware i could get more if i moved into different parts of accounting with the same skills required
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
4/5
I feel i am getting all the support required to become a chartered accountant which is the key milestone in my career
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
4/5
I have regular time in college to expand my knowledge, and this adds to daily experience hands on with the job, which expands yearly as experience is gained

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
4/5
Good support through college and mentoring as well as regular training sessions both in person and online
How is your work-life balance?
2/5
Good through 3/4 of the year. January to March is very bad due to audit deadlines
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
3/5
Good through the year. Busy season there is lots of pressure put on all levels to take on large workloads
How would you rate EY initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
Very good, everything is tailored to inclusivity which gives all employees a chance to be involved
How would you rate EY CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
4/5
There is plenty of opportunities to raise money, volunteer and make a difference throughout the year

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend EY to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Large platform to start a career with all the training and qualifications available. Also a good opportunity to expand your social and professional network
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
3/5
I did not know what to expect until late in the recruitment process. However, the detail of the job is not properly explained until actually beginning the job. But the company experience is what is pushed most. This has been up to expectations
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to EY?
Bring more of the day to day life into the recruitment process rather than over arching company values which can come across as quite generic and do not impact the daily life of an employee as much
