Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as part of a team on the production line, and do placements in other departments to understand others areas of my home department.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i struggle with the limited support from managers, along with the lack of fair progression between apprentices.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt many new skills relating to my job role and have been able to develop current skills prior to working here.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the structure of the overall programme in effective however, the programme set up in my home department is not great and is not develop fairly or equally to every apprentice there.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

i receive little support from my managers which i find difficult as i would like to progress well and i have little support or optimism from them.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my support from my college was very good and i learnt a lot from there.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i think my course has helped my role lots which has been very helpful and beneficial day to day.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are a few different activities and events to get involved in ran by house charity, however, within my home department apprentices don't get invited e.g., department christmas party.

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?

Yes

Why?

i would recommend the company as they are a very good company to work for and it has taught me lots which has been great, however, i would not recommend my department as they do not effectively work with apprentices and you are treated differently which is not okay.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?

make sure to try your best at learning the most and keep going for what you think you would be good at.
