Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

my job role includes me building my knowledge with training sessions everyweek about early years education and also working in nursery, with these training sessions it allows me to understand how i can help children in their development and also helps me find more effective ways to help children in their development.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i enjoy the program alot because i am allowed to be as creative as i want. the support from staff members at nursery to everone and the academy has been very helpful and it allows me and the other apprentice to gain the knowlegde and also for them to succeed

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt a lot of new skills like i have learnt how to play a ukelele and also i have been able to express my creativity side and helped the children at the nursery to also learn and gain the skills i have developed.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the program is very organised and structured. all the tutors for the training sessions are always prepared and well preped for the teaching days.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

i have recived a lot of support from my employer and they have all made sure i am doing well in my practice and also support me when i am struggling.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my training provider helps me alot when working towards my qualification where they would print out anything i need and they also they help me out when i am stuck with any kind of work.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i feel excellent with the help of my training provider as they have helped me boost my knowledge about childcare but have also pointed out how crucial every step is during their development.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

the training sessions we attend allow us to communicate within our peers and learn about their experiences and speaking on our activities and taking in different ways we can expand on eachothers practice.

i would recommend to a friend because if u have a passion for educating children then leyf is the go to organisation to show your practice and strenthen it. everyone is supportive and everyday is never the same day theres always something new and fun that happens.
