Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My Job role as a care coordinator is to ensure all colleagues have a sufficient work life balance by receiving their rota ahead. It is also my duty to ensure that I am not using agency so i can ensure the people we support are receiving their funded care by staff they have built a rapport with and it enables the person centred care. I am responsible for all commissioned hours of the DCA and need to ensure any changes or invoices are documented correctly via an eform.
I am also responsible for managing out outreach services by attending professional meetings, completing key worker meetings, reviewing their support plans and arranging team meetings.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed completing both my Level 3 and Level 5 diplomas during my employment with Voyage Care.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt different management styles and how this is key during my team meetings.
I have also been able to strengthen my organizational skills by working full time and still completing my diploma by the deadlines.

I did experience alot of sickness from my tutor which delayed my finish and any support i required.

Yes

Why?

The Flexible working agreement does allow me to work full time but still be a present mother to my family.
It is a rewarding role from the people we support they appreciate how hard we do work.
